Puppetry stilt dance and song bring geological events to life as two characters travel back in time in search of a dinosaur. Along the way they see an exciting volcano dance on stilts and roller-blading ěrockyî players giving tectonic body checks. Lava and Bones was inspired by a fascination with volcanoes, rocks, and dinosaurs. The show for young audiences brings to life the geological prehistory of our land from 180 million years ago when the west coast was flat and under water, to our present mountainous geography. Two clowns embark on a magical time-travelling adventure and experience the earth changing at every stop ń colliding tectonic plates, shaking earthquakes, erupting volcanoes. . .and dinosaurs
