Straight out of the New Orleans nitty, gritty streets comes a band that is anything but - the Hot 8 Brass Band who has been epitomizing New Orleans street music for over a decade. Their sound, a mixture of jazz, funk and R&B make up the traditional flavor of New Orleans brass band music. Featured on CNN, Nightline, in the New York Times, and most notably in Spike Lee's Katrina documentary When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, the Hot 8 Brass Band has been heating up the nation and they're ready to ignite Sheridan. It's funky, it's cool, it's loud and it's coming to the WYO! Trust us when we say that an evening with the Hot 8 is an evening like no other! Sponsors: Children's Educational and Family Series Sponsors with additional donations from CB Music and Repair, Larry & Ann Storo and Trails End Motel, Also supported in part by a grant from the Western States Art Federation and the Wyoming Arts Council with funding from the State Legislature and National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art. |
