Classic Western Film Series 2026

Saddle up, Sheridan—the WYO’s beloved Classic Western Film Series rides back into town for four Sundays of Western comedy, insider stories, and free popcorn.

Created in 2009 by longtime board member Gene Sturlin—the series’ perpetual host and curator—this annual tradition brings Gene’s personal favorites and deep Western film knowledge to the big screen, complete with his signature behind-the-scenes stories and charming commentary.

This year’s lineup celebrates the lighter side of the West:

• Jan 4 – Along Came Jones, guest host Buck Brannaman
• Jan 11 – Destry Rides Again, guest host Craig Johnson
• Jan 18 – There Was a Crooked Man, guest host Bob Grammens
• Jan 25 – Cowboy, guest host Tommy B

All films begin at 2:00 PM and include free popcorn, prize giveaways, nostalgia plus, and plenty of laughs.
