December 11-14, 2025
The walls inside the Carriage House Theater will once again resonate with the sounds of beautiful Christmas music this December 11, 12, 13 and 14 when the Civic Theater Guild presents “Christmas at the Carriage House,” an evening of story and songs of the holiday season.
Director Pat Tomsovic has assembled an ensemble of multi-talented local musicians who are rehearsing a variety of Christmas songs guaranteed to put attendees in the spirit of the season. The program includes traditional English Christmas carols, 1950’s favorites from artists like Brenda Lee and Frank Sinatra, bluegrass tunes, and songs from more contemporary artists like Jackson Browne, Amy Grant and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Musicians include Pat Tomsovic and her long-time singing friends Tami Davis and Nancy Phillips (who performed as Spurs of the Moment for over 20 years), pianist Mary Apple, violinist Chris Carlson, bassist Mike Garcia, vocalist and percussionist Janey Wing Kenyon, flautist Cynde Georgen, and a talented vocal couple, Jenni and Chris Wolffing.
Guests will also be treated to the reading of a light-hearted short story entitled “An Interview with the Nativity Innkeeper” by John Scalzi narrated by Richard Davis and Bruce Tomsovic. Another highlight of the evening is sampling delicious Christmas cookies and hot cider at intermission.
