The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host its 27th annual Awards of Excellence celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 25, starting at 5:00pm at the WYO Theater, 42 S. Main St., in Sheridan.
Jeff Mowry, head coach of the Sheridan Bronc's 5x State Champion Football team, will serve as the keynote speaker.
The Chamber will recognize all the nominees and announce the recipients in four award categories: Community Champion, Strength of Sheridan, Business of the Year, and Business Person(s) of the Year.
The nominees are as follows:
Community Champion Award Nominees: Chase Christensen, Rosemary Rieder, Dave Schwend, Sheridan County Conservation District, and Sheridan County Travel and Tourism
Strength of Sheridan Award Nominees: Babe's Flowers, Best Out West Antiques and Collectibles, Sheridan Media, and Ucross Foundation
Business of the Year Nominees: Catering by Bino's and Bino's Corner and Wholesale, Innominate Coffeehouse and Bakery, Kid Curious, Modern Merchant, and Peak Consulting
Business Person of the Year Nominees: Emily Betzler (Bought Beautifully), Chad Franklin (Sheridan Liquor), Susie Garber-Johnson (Legacy Ridge Private Wealth), Ryan Gregory (Resilient Guides), and Karen Schumacher (Best Western Sheridan Center & Historic Sheridan Inn)
The nominees were named by the Chamber's Board of Directors, and the recipients were selected by the Chamber membership via online vote.
A reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres will be held from 5:00 – 6:00pm with the ceremony to follow.
