Valencia Baryton Project

Experience an extraordinary evening of chamber music with the Valencia Baryton Project, a rare ensemble dedicated to reviving the beautiful and unusual sound of the baryton—an 18th-century instrument once favored by Haydn’s patron, Prince Nikolaus Esterházy. Combining the warmth of a viola da gamba with sympathetic strings that resonate beneath the melody, the baryton creates a sound unlike anything most audiences have heard before.

For this special performance, the concert will take place in Tandem Hall at the WYO, creating an intimate listening environment perfectly suited to the baryton’s rich, nuanced tone. Because of this unique setting, capacity is extremely limited, offering a rare opportunity to experience world-class chamber music in one of the WYO’s most unique spaces.
