WYO PLAY is hosting auditions for the Spring 2026 Youth Musical: Lion King Jr!
The Youth Musical is open to students currently in 2nd-9th Grades.
Those interested in auditioning should Sign Up for Auditions in Advance using this Online Form: Click Here!
Then, students should come to the WYO Theater Main Lobby during Open Audition times:
· Friday, April 24th, 4:00 - 7:00 pm: 2nd-5thGraders
· Saturday, April 25th, at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm:6th-9th Graders
Some students will be invited to Callback Auditions for a few character roles:
· Saturday, April 25th - Afternoon
No preparation is required to audition. Students will be called up to the stage in groups and asked individually to introduce themselves and sing Row Your Boat acapella. Then, we will teach everyone a few bars of vocals from one of the show songs, and each student will sing the song section with the music track. We may also incorporate a movement element into the audition, which students will have the chance to learn all together at auditions.
Casting will not be announced right away on the same weekend, as with last year. Instead, cast members will be notified by mid week, around April 29th.
Rehearsal Schedule: The first rehearsal will take place on Friday, May 1st from 4:00-6:00pm. After that, rehearsals will be held every weekday, M-F, 5:00-7:00pm. Detailed rehearsal schedules that list which characters are called on which days will be sent out each week. No excused absences in June.
Performance Dates: June 17, 18, 19, 20!
