This original play is perfect for audiences of all ages – it incorporates well-known rock songs from the 1960-1980s into a heartwarming story about growing up and family. Audiences will recognize the tunes, such as "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf, but they will be surprised - and delighted - by the new lyrics, which have all been rewritten to be about some of your favorite prehistoric creatures.

The original script follows two siblings, Ella and Thea, both facing big moments of change in their life. As they look ahead at the daunting task of growing up, Ella and Thea realize that, despite any doubt or uncertainty they feel, they don’t have to face the future alone. A magical trip to a realm full of dinosaurs helps them rediscover their bond to each other and determine they do not need to leave their love of dinosaurs behind them in the past.

The musical will feature the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble, a program of WYO PLAY that features middle and high school theater artists. The cast includes Sanibel Kerns, Stella Allred, Carson Norling, Cobey Gonda, Ben Larizza, Dayne Doke, Bella Longhurst, Prakash Landis, Ben Tippin, TJ Cunningham, Madeline Malin, Emma Duff, Cassidy Warner, and Barrett Haar. The Young Theatre Makers ensemble also includes Dramaturg Ted Keegan, Production Assistant Sonja Wallace, Crew Member Jack Roberts, and more!

In conjunction with the performances, representatives from the Natural History Museum of Wyoming at Sheridan College and Science Kids will be in the theater lobby prior to each show, providing a chance to see real fossils, participate in hands-on activities and learn more about your favorite dinosaurs and some awesome educational opportunities in the community! Come early to explore before the curtain goes up.
